Applicants must meet all qualifications and eligibility requirements by the closing date of the announcement including time-in-grade restrictions, specialized experience and/or education, as defined below. Time in Grade Requirement:
Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position with the federal service within the past 52 weeks must have one year of specialized experience at the next lower grade to be considered for the next higher grade (e.g. one year at the GS-11 grade level for consideration for the GS-12 grade level). You must submit a recent SF-50 Notice of Personnel Action to verify you meet this requirement. Basic Education Requirement:
Degree:
All applicants must have a degree in biological sciences, agriculture, natural resource management, chemistry, or related disciplines appropriate to the position; OR Combination of Education and
Experience:
Courses equivalent to a major, as shown in A above, plus appropriate experience or additional education. In addition to meeting one of the Basic Requirements listed above, applicants must meet the following Minimum Qualifications Requirement in order to be considered:

Experience:
To qualify for the GS-12 level, you must possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in complexity to the GS-11 level or higher in Federal service, or comparable experience not gained through Federal service. This experience must include:
Overall responsibility for assisting in planning and coordinating biological activities and other planning applications throughout the state. Responsible for knowledge of, and performance in accordance with, laws, regulations, and agency policy dealing with wetlands, invasive species, endangered and threatened species, wildlife, and other resource management activities as they relate to the agency's mission, roles, and responsibilities, especially as they relate to Farm Bill activities. Note:
There is no education substitution for the GS-12 level. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
