Experience:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the DJ-2 (GS-10) grade level in the Federal service which includes the planning and delivery of systems administration services, including installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and customer assistance, in response to customer requirements. Functions commonly performed by employees in this specialty may include:
diagnosing and resolving problems in response to customer reported incidents; researching, evaluating, and providing feedback on problematic trends and patterns in systems administration requirements; developing and maintaining problem tracking and resolution databases; installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining customer hardware and software; planning, performing and coordinating the periodic and lifecycle systems administration activities of the Sustainment Management System (SMS) Information Technology Infrastructure and associated operational efforts. Applies knowledge and skills in systems administration operations, software distribution tools and mechanisms, and data integrity and data hosting tools and techniques. Ensures the rigorous application of information security/information assurance policies, principles, and practices in the delivery of systems administration services. My specialized experience includes, or was supplemented by, information technology related experience (paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training, as appropriate) which demonstrates each of the four competencies, as defined:

Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.Examples of IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include:
identifying and solving problems by gathering and applying information from a variety of materials or sources that provide several alternatives; recognizing and taking action to address non-routine problems; soliciting feedback from multiple stakeholders to understand an issue or problem and accurately assess its root causes and potential solutions; seeking supervisory review where appropriate. OR Education:
Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree from an accredited or pre-accredited institution in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management; or, three full years of graduate education from an accredited or pre-accredited institution that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems, or networks. Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
