The ideal candidate will have experience with and knowledge of accounting and financial principles and practices.
This position will offer a hybrid schedule, with a minimum of three days onsite required per week.
Additionally, a clear employment verification, background check, credit check and education verification will be required for this role.
Responsibilities Completing the monthly financial statement closing process Maintaining and/or monitoring the books and records for assigned Wolfram entities, including recording transactions, adjusting entries and reviewing financial statements Performing variance and trend analysis on financial reports and ensuring that they comply with generally accepted accounting principles and financial reporting standards Monitoring changes in GAAP and federal/state regulations and coordinating implementation of necessary adjustments to accounting processes and procedures Developing automated reporting and forecasting tools to inform decision-making Forecasting revenue and expenses Fulfilling routine and ad-hoc requests for financial information by researching and interpreting data Monitoring and recording cryptocurrency transactions for Wolfram entities Monitoring and recording investment activity for Wolfram entities Coordinating annual financial audits Completing monthly intercompany and miscellaneous expense settlements Reviewing consultant billing and initiating payments Aiding in preparing financial forms on behalf of the company for vendors and government agencies Assisting in the implementation of a new Finance ERP platform by:
Assisting with process design and actively recommending, soliciting and implementing process improvements Assisting with testing and problem resolution Developing and performing end-user training, including documentation of procedures Maintaining documentation of financial system policies and procedures identifying, recommending and implementing updates as needed Participating in special projects as assigned Performing other related duties as assigned Qualifications Bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration or finance Five or more years of relevant experience Demonstrated experience with and knowledge of accounting and financial principles and practices Strong numerical aptitude and problem-solving, organizational and analytical skills Ability to maintain confidentiality Excellent written and verbal communication skills High degree of initiative and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively Excellent time management, organizational skills and attention to detail Working knowledge of computerized accounting systems Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.
) Preferred Qualifications Certified public accountant designation Location:

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
