We are looking for talented and innovative individuals to join our team! Purpose:
To technically support and, if necessary, supervise the installation and commissioning of new Vesuvius Flow Control Systems in USA, Canada, and Mexico.
Liaison between Project Management and engineering Team and the Sales area, Customer and OEM and/or sub-contractors as necessary to ensure successful operation and completion of the Projects.

Dimensions of Position:
Laboratory Management and shop testing:
Maintain organization of equipment and tools Set up and perform shop testing of Flow Control Systems Assist with Engineering testing Fabrication and assembly of Flow Control Systems General maintenance and cleanup Assist with field trials and conversions:
Coordinate with project managers, account managers and Customers Set up Ladle & Tundish systems Track refractory performance Close liaison with Engineering and Project Management Create reports for trial status and updates Input from senior management prior to issuing formal reports.
Debriefing with the Project Manager and Technical Manager after each commissioning to discuss any issues or outstanding open points as detailed in the Technical Assistance Report.
To communicate any design or performance weaknesses identified in such a manner that the benefits of design, construction and material changes may be fully understood and considered by the Engineering and/or R&D Department.
Training for the operation and maintenance of Mechanical and Hydraulic Flow Control Systems:
Classroom presentation Group & personal hands-on instruction Follow-up evaluation and instruction Customer Service:
Trouble shoot problems of mechanical & Hydraulic Flow Control Systems Review operation and maintenance and suggest improvements and solutions Technical Reports completed in an appropriate time detailing any problems experienced, modifications made, corrective actions implemented, recommended improvement or action, etc.
To provide a level of Customer Support that enhances the relationship with the Customer and increases the Company profile.
Safety:
Follows all safety rules set forth, keeps work area clean and equipment in serviceable order.
In accordance with safety guidelines, participates in all safety meetings & functions following all rules set forth by Vesuvius & customer to ensure safe work environment.
Act and work safely in laboratory and steel mill environments in accordance with Vesuvius guidelines and OSHA standards Conduct Safety audits and complete permit to work forms as needed for high risk or nonstandard work Job Type:
