Summary:
The selected candidate will serve as the Licensed Social Services Director and will oversee the daily operations of our LTC facility in conjunction with the needs of our residents.
Essential Functions:
1) Coordinates admissions for new and returning residents2) Conducts small group and individual tours of the facility and provides information to prospective residents and their families3) Coordinates moves within the facility4) Conducts and supervises bi-annual employee in-service programs pertaining to resident rights and responsibilities5) Manages the Social Services department annual budget6) Establishes rapport and counsels with residents and their families7) Serves on various quality improvement committees8) Works with coworkers, supervisors and staff from all departments to solve problems and improve processes and services for residents and the facility9) Adjusts priorities and schedules to meet resident and facility needs10) Reports and assists in the correction of problems related to the safety, cleanliness and comfort of the residents and work areas.
Ensures universal precautions and infection control techniques are followed and maintained.
11) Works to improve job skills, knowledge and performance12) Follows established personnel, department and facility policies and procedures13) Attends mandatory educational programs and training identified by the facility14) Accepts changes in work schedule/assignments to meet the needs of the residents15) Performs other related duties as assignedCompetencies:
