Loan Department REPORTS TO:
Community President, Bloomington First State Bank is currently seeking an experienced VP, Commercial Lending Officer to work at our Champaign branch.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Develops, manages, and grows, commercial, and/or commercial real estate loans.
Maintains low loan delinquency and ensures that there are no administrative past due loans.
Communicates timely and in a comprehensive manner with their supervisor concerning any credit that is experiencing stress.
Manages, supervises, and grows commercial deposit portfolios.
Develops and builds customer satisfaction and confidence in the Bank.
Go the extra mile to build trust relationships, customer loyalty and satisfaction throughout the underwriting process Works effectively with personnel.
Solicits new customers and negotiates rates and loan terms (for both new and renewal loans) in a competitive and price sensitive environment.
Analyzes customer credit applications; balance sheets and profit and loss statement; and cash flow projections to make sound loan decisions and predict future repayment capacity.
Coordinates these efforts with personnel in the loan department.
Make recommendations to the loan committee on new and renewal loans.
Represents the Bank and provides leadership in key community activities and committees.
Complete required training associated with job function.
Keep abreast of industry changes, local economic, financial and legislative events which may have an impact on commercial lending activities.
Detect early warning signs of problem loans and immediate notification to a supervisor, Chief Credit Administrator, Loan Review, or Loan Servicing.
Comply with all regulatory requirements.
Performs related duties as assigned.
Required
Qualifications:
Minimum Education Level:
Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Business.
Minimum Job
Experience:
3-5 years of commercial banking experience (commercial lending preferred).
Thorough knowledge of Company products and services High level of analytical skills to conduct loan analysis and maintain loan progress in consideration of market trends, credit/interest rates, economic conditions, and other factors.
High level of interpersonal skills to interact with customers and potential customers in a professional manner.
Adequate knowledge of both internal policies and procedures and the respective state and federal laws and regulations governing departmental functions to ensure performance of individual job duties within the proper control environment.
Excellent business development and relationship building skills.
Ability to work both independently and with a team.
