Internship - Research Project (Library and Information Sciences)

DescriptionChampaign-Urbana Public Health District (CUPHD), 201 W.
Kenyon Road, Champaign, is in need of interns with a background in Library and Information Sciences to assist us rebuild our history.
The CUPHD facility had a fire in the 1980s, and much of the historical information has been lost.
CUPHD would like to have this information collected and available for the staff and community to access (particularly Board of Health meeting minutes and new articles), in a searchable format.
We are in need of interns with expertise in Information and Library Sciences research and archives.
We would also like expertise in presenting CUPHD's founding and outbreaks of historical interest in a format that engages the public.
We are interested in having a section for our website and our social media accounts.
Depending on their interests and skills, students might also wish to work on preparing and editing transcripts and other kinds of content development for the website, publications, and documentary.
Interns can work 100% remotely and are afforded flexibility to decide their start and end dates, schedules, and the number of hours they wish to devote to the internship.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
