ROLE
Responsibilities:
COMMUNITY INVOLVMENT Seek, develop, and build relationships with community partners, leagues, schools, businesses and organizations encouraging them to choose DICK'S as their destination devoted to sport.
Develop and execute organic outreach strategy, including email outreach and targeted community canvassing.
Event planning, event space capabilities; provide information on event space configurations and capacities, and recommend the most effective set up for the event type and size based on event space availability.
Establish and maintain relationships with event customers, gaining insight into specific needs and event requirements to drive repeatable events and relationships.
Build relationships and partnerships with prospective and current vendors used for various events.
Identify and execute off site marketing opportunities with tournaments, semi-pro teams, schools and any sports related community events.
Leverage Outreach assets to communicate in store events, drive participation and traffic.
Identify future events to host and reach out to potential partners.
Research community players that bring the most legitimacy and the biggest crowd in location.

in-store events utilizing batting cages, golf bays, outdoor field and rock wall, couponing/shop nights and promoting the additional services within House of Sport:
glove steaming, racket stringing, skate sharpening, etc.
Responsible for meeting budgets in the areas of sales, expense, all Profit & Loss (P&L) categories, metrics and overall store contribution.
Plans teammate schedules in advance by assessing events or initiatives coming down the pipeline and planning hours / coverage accordingly by using the workforce management tool on a regular basis Communicate new and regional product opportunities to our buyers and merchandising organization.
Focuses on the strong connection between athlete satisfaction and teammate engagement; leverages insights to drive a culture that equally prioritizes the employee experience and hassle-free shopping Adhere to established policies and procedures related to safety, loss prevention and standard operating procedures, as well as to laws and guidelines of external governing entities.
GREAT PLACE TO INVEST Directly responsible for managing all planning related to in-store and Field events including:
cost planning, ROI analysis, staffing coverage, internal and external communication, event day-of execution (setup to tear down) and ensuring all appropriate event waiver needs are in 100% compliance.
Evaluate qualitatively and quantitatively each event/program and proactively suggest enhanced measures of success.
Proactively plan, prepare and provide comprehensive support and communication that detail all specifics related to the in-store events and programs as directed.
Partner with the Community Marking Manager to identify and execute local Sports Matter grant recipients Manage all athlete feedback on through our event registration platform.
Partner with community Integration director to evaluate marketing and community programming event planning, expected participation, revenues and costs.
Oversee complex budget development, management and reconciliation while identifying opportunities for efficiencies and cost savings on all events.
BRAND & OPS EXCELLENCE Build brand awareness and loyalty in the community through deep, strategic relationships.
Demands high standards and holds self and others accountable by establishing clear responsibilities and processes for monitoring work and measuring results; unafraid to give difficult feedback and is willing to take action and address low performance Assist stores/corporate with key product and competitive information for important sales and promotional events.
Deliver a level of excellence and professionalism on all events, programs or projects as assigned.
Manages and monitors reservations scheduling tool.
Maintains cleanliness/maintenance & equipment needs for store events.
All other assigned tasks
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Management, Communications, Marketing, or related 3-5 years experience in Regional or Company Merchandise or Marketing experience in a retail or multi-unit environment preferred.
Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed (including nights, weekends and travel throughout the territory).
