This NEW POSITION within our company will be accountable for assisting in the annual facilities condition assessment process for a large portfolio of buildings and developing and leading capital projects.

Provides technical expertise and assists with developing scopes of work for assigned capital projects.
Assist in the prioritization of deferred maintenance needs Manage assigned projects and coordinate related efforts between asset managers, property managers, maintenance teams and vendors Serve as a liaison with external vendors and the internal maintenance team to address/resolve complicated building issues Provide information and reports necessary for the development of capital budgets for the portfolio.
This includes contributions towards a ten-year plan of maintenance, facility improvement, and cost-reduction initiatives Drive sustainability by developing green policies and overseeing initiatives that emphasize the proper use of environmental resources Provide exceptional customer service and serve as an ambassador of the Fairlawn brand Learn, audit, and ensure the team's compliance with all Fair Housing Laws including local, state and federal housing regulations Pivot, roll up your sleeves and jump in where needed! Requirements:
Who you are - We'd love to hear from you if you:
Have an Associate's degree in facilities management, architecture, construction management, or engineering (Bachelor's degree preferred) Have at least 2 years of full-time experience in facilities management, construction management, property management or service fieldwork experience Have knowledge of and experience in commercial real estate, building operations and systems, accounting, project management, and vendor management (highly desired) Have a proven record of client service including the ability to establish credibility with key stakeholders (owner, property management team, vendors) Are proficient with relevant technology (e.

Microsoft Office, AppFolio, Outlook) and can easily adapt to changing technology Demonstrate superior attention to detail, high energy and a positive attitude Have the ability to give and receive real-time feedback with a positive mindset Embody our core values:

Valid driver's license and dependable vehicle.
Limited in-town usage of personal vehicle for errands, any out-of-County personal mileage reimbursed at the Federal rate Ability to travel to offsite properties Availability to work longer hours and weekends during prime leasing season, turnover, and overall to take time sensitive projects to the finish line (specific dates vary from year to year) Must be able to complete the physical functions of the position including walking properties, spending long periods of time standing, completing physical inspections, and lifting up to 50lbs Fairlawn Real Estate is a fast-growing real estate firm managing approximately 5,000 units throughout Central Illinois and Indianapolis.
